Elvers is the term for baby EELS and a nickname for our water safety clinics.  For one week during the pre-season, the EELS coaches teach water safety to kids 8 and under.  Water safety is defined as the ability to enter the water on their own and when instructed, then be in the water unassisted. Swimmers who demonstrate water safety at the end of the week are invited to join the team. 

These will be 30 minute sessions, limited to 20 swimmers per session. The sessions are identical, so choose the time that works for you. 

Elver's Clinic 2026

 April 13-16, 5-5:30 and 5:35-6:05

 Time Slots fill on a first come, first served basis.  The cost is $40 per swimmer and is non-refundable. Children need to be ready to enter the water on their own with minimal encouragement and ready to learn.

If you are unsure if your child is ready for this program, you are invited to come to in-person registration at the natatorium and have them try getting into the pool prior to making a decision and paying the fee.

In person registration for 2026 will be held March 19 5-7pm and March 28: 9-11am. We will also have swim suits available to try on and fun EMC merch to purchase. Registration will still be done by computer, but we can help.
