Divisionals and such!
Hello Parents!
Congratulations! You’ve done it! We have made it to the last meet of the normal season! (those with kids qualifying for invitational swim meets will still have one more week of practices and competition).
Here are some important things to know before Saturday’s meet to make sure your children qualify (most should). Saturday our team will be competing against all six of the other teams in our division.
To qualify each child should have the following:
- An official time: this means a time from a dual meet—which is a meet in which we competed agains another team—that did not result in a disqualification
- They have competed in 2 dual swim meets
- We are only allowed one relay team per event and it will be our A relay teams.
As a parent your responsibilities are:
- You must do at least one volunteer shift, each team is required to fill lots of shifts since divisionals are divided into 3 shifts instead of the 2 shifts normal meets are divided into.
- Teams are only allowed one relay team per age/event. If your child is in a realy it is crucial they are there, as they are the only ones scheduled for the event.
- If your child qualifies for an Invitational, you need to let us know by Saturday Night so that we can get the meet entries done. Those that have already qualified will receive emails. You can also check to see if your child qualifies for Trinity and register them for events.
As we approach Saturday we will send a few more emails giving more detailed information. Including a set-up map.
Also keep in mind, June 23 is our award ceremony at Bull Sallas Arena.
Thank you for all that you do!
