First Away Meet!
May 24th
Saturday is our 1st Away Dual Home Meet versus Trailwood Gators
- Pool Location: 2029 Thousand Pines Drive, Kingwood, Texas 77339
- Parents Can arrive at the pool starting at 6:30am. Please see below for DETAILED parking information, set up, and concessions.
- Away team always does warm-ups second, which will be at 7:40 am.
- When you arrive, be sure to go to the “Circle In” table. We will hand you individual slips that have your events listed for you.
- If you are running late (arriving after 7:30) text the following people and they will circle you in: Aaron Wood
(713)876-1930 . I would program this in your phone for future meets. Be sure to add in your Swimmer/Family Name when you text them - If you are not checked in by 7:30am we will be calling to make sure you are not attending. Please be sure to go in and Decline your Swimmer so we don’t have to go this extra step.
- Write your Swimmers last name on their backs and their events on their left arms with a sharpie.
- Stop by the volunteer table, check in and get your badge and turn in at the end of the meet.
- Individual Meet entries: Every swimmer needs to get an official time in an event at a dual meet without disqualifying. So we try to move swimmers around the different events so they have a chance to swim it all. You also have to swim an event in a dual meet to get an official time to attend invitationals.
- Relay Entries: We are allowed 3 relay teams if we have the numbers. If your child is in a “C” relay, there is a chance that it will have to be scratched if we have to move kids around due to not showing. This is why it’s important to let us know if you are not going to be at a meet or leave early so we can plan. Medley relay: if your child has a 1- backstroke, 2- breast, 3- fly, 4- freestyle. Freestyle numbers are just the order they will go in.
- 10 and Under Parents: Please bring your child to their age group tent. If they are NOT staying with the age group tent, you need to let the Tent Parents know. It is your responsibility then to bring them to the tent when their event is called by the Announcer or to the ready bench when the event is called. This is especially important when it comes to relays.
See the attachment for important details from TVG for parking information and maps. Thank you all your help! Let’s represent our team well this weekend!
