Hello Eels Families! Tomorrow is our 2024 divisional meet. Below I have included lots of important information. 

Divisional Information:

6:00: Building Opens/Start Setting Up– Parking will be by the STADIUM due to ALL TEAMS will be setting up in the parking lot by the Natatorium. No parking on the grass.

7:00–7:25: EMC Warm-Ups – Lanes 1-4

7:30: Be sure to be Circled In (contact Aaron Wood if running late: 713-876-1930)

7:30: Officials Meeting

7:45: Coaches Scratch Meeting

7:45: Ready Bench Meeting(those working the ready bench)

8:00: Timer/Scribe Meeting

8:15: Coaches/Team Rep Meeting

8:25: National Anthem

8:30: First Event

Volunteer Shifts are different for Divisionals. Please pay attention to the DJ when to change out for a smooth transition to keep the meet going.

First Shift – Events 1 through 30

Second Shift – Events 31 – 56

Third Shift – Events 57 – 86

Things to Remember:

• You will not hear when the DJ call for events if you or your swimmers are inside. You must pay attention to what event is needed. They are going to line up several events ahead to keep the meet going and get us done as early as possible.

• Volunteer Check In and Swimmer Check In will be in the front of the Natatorium

• No set up is allowed in the stands. It will be full of people coming in and out to watch the swimmers.

• No set up in front of the Natatorium. Must set up in assigned area. See Map Below

• Swimmers need to exit the backside (North) when they are done swimming. We do not want them to go out the front and make that area wet where parents are coming to go to the stands.

• No wet swimmers on the stairs. This is where all parents will be headed to watch, it is a hazard.

• Elevator is for elderly, disabled, and parents with strollers. Please don’t hesitate to tell any swimmer, from any team, that they are not to play or use the elevator.
• Any protests or issues should be brought to Maggie Cruz, our team rep. She is the proper channel to handle things. Results are not valid in the app until they are verified by officials.

• There will be several food trucks in attendance and they will be setup on the opposite side of the Natatorium (West Lot). There should be no setup on this side for any teams or parents, this area is strictly for the food trucks.

• Please clean up your area outside and in the stands.

• Results will be uploaded within an hour of the meet ending. You must let us know if you are attending an invitational and what events you want to be in. Please have this done by Saturday night. Sunday morning we will be turning in meet entries.
  • Practice for Invitational Swimmers will be: Monday-Wednesday, and Friday 5-6:30.
