EMC Eels Families,

Thank you for helping us run a smooth meet yesterday against the Flying Fish! Our Eels put up a huge fight against a team with 60 more swimmers than us. We had a 54% improvement rating.

Next Meet:

Saturday we will be at Foster’s Mill/King’s Point – the FMKP Waves. They have an outdoor community pool located at 5855 Hidden Lakes Drive, Kingwood, TX 77345. Please declare for this meet and sign up for a volunteer position as soon as you’re able. More information will be coming on Thursday!

Swimmer Shoutout:

From Coach Isaiah: “Reece P. and Kennedy K. have dropped in every individual event they’ve swam the last two meets, and they are getting progressively faster as time goes on! Really proud of their progress this year and their willingness to learn.”

Coach Jordyn and Coach Kayleigh want to highlight the newest members of the No Lane Rope Club: Sara U., Cameron M., and Morgan G. These are our youngest swimmers who complete their 25 freestyle without needing to pause on the lane line. Congratulations to them!

Summer Champs:

Registration is open for Summer Champs! This meet is Sunday, June 8 at Kingwood High School. Swimmers have one more opportunity to earn qualifying times at our meet on Saturday. If your swimmer is close on any specific events, you can request that they swim that event in the coaches notes when you declare for Saturday at FMKP. Invitational meets are a great opportunity for swimmers to compete against other teams, earn medals, reach goals, and build team spirit. Qualifying times are posted at the natatorium and in the meet document. Families pay EMC Swim Team $7 for each individual event. The team pays for any relay teams we may be able to form. Remember these meets are optional, points earned do not count toward season high point winners, and any timing assignment our team is given does not count toward your season volunteer requirement.

5/27 – Gringo’s Spirit Day. Whether you dine in or carryout, for lunch or for dinner, Gringo’s is supporting the Eels this Tuesday!

5/31 – Deadline to declare for Summer Champs Invitational Meet is 8pm (after times post from FMKP)

6/2 – Pictures and Pizza Day. No regularly scheduled practice, but come to the natatorium in your team suit or shirt for pictures, then head over to MOD Pizza for dinner! More info is coming.

• Sign up for your volunteer position at FMKP
• Our lost and found is overflowing. There are several pairs of girls black athletic shorts, water bottles, towels, and Crocs.
