EMC Eels Families,

We hope all of our swim dads are enjoying their day! Yesterday our EMC Eels finished in fourth place at Divisionals with a 41% improvement rating. We added 45 new records to the books. The Board and coaches are so, so proud of the work these kids have put in this season. We look forward to celebrating them at Awards Night this Thursday.

Swimmer Shoutout:

Our shoutout this week goes to YOU! We had a fantastic season that would not have been possible without your diligence in supervising kids at practice, setting those early alarm clocks, and the hundreds of volunteer shifts covered. A swim team is truly a TEAM and it takes all of us to make it work. So from all of us on the Board, THANK YOU.

Practice this week:

Coaches will offer open practice to all of our End of Season Invitational qualifiers. The pool is open 5-6:30 for all age groups. Come to practice when you are able and coaches will give each swimmer a warm up and a few drills to refine their technique to set them up for success for All Stars and Ponderosa next weekend.

Awards Night

Awards Night will be June 19 at 6pm at the Bull Sallas Showbarn. Every swimmer will be recognized for their efforts this season. We are excited to introduce some new awards this year in addition to highlighting our high point winners and Invitational qualifiers. We hope your family can make it. We will have dessert and drinks for everyone, as well as fajitas from Casa De Martha for those who pre ordered dinner. If you worked 7 volunteer shifts, you will receive your check back. Each coach will have a basket available at Awards Night where you can put any gifts or cards to thank them for their work this season. Here is a list of their favorite things if you need some ideas. They also love handwritten notes from swimmers.
